Sculptural contribution for the project A Gesture for Listening. An exhibition in two phases curated by Bureau for Listening.

Phase I: Odinsgade
Merging a semi-comfortable livingroom situation with a slight touch of the soily outdoor, the visiting guest were welcomed with a cup of tea and offered to enter the room barefoot. This would be the first introduction to the sculpture, inviting people inside the home of a stranger. Conversations about how and where we feel at ease, organic vs nonorganic habitats etc sprung from the guests on the couch.

Phase II: Assistens Cemetery
The cemetery is a significant place for the neighborhood of Nørrebro. Many people come here to talk, mourn, listen, move, eat and in general to unfold life in other ways than what a busy city has to offer – where death is sometimes pushed away, and silence can be overlooked. At the cemetery a different kind of conversation may happen. Re-installing the sculpture we are hoping to take part in this conversation. You can visit the work in section D at Assistens Cemetery. The sculpture will gradually go through different stages of dissolution.
